Implementing a Unified Framework for Integrating Enterprise Risk Management in BC/DR Programs -         Ryan Kelley & Ryan Falcone

Scarce funding, lack of organizational commitment, misaligned risk management priorities, the complexity of organizational change, and a stagnant industry are just some of the many challenges that BC / DR practitioners must overcome in the struggle to stay relevant within their organizations.  This session outlines a unified framework approach that can be applied to overcome these obstacles, enabling practitioners to deliver unprecedented strategic value to their organizations without having to reinvent the wheel.

The goals of this session are as follows:

  • Introduce a new approach as an alternative to traditional BC / DR planning
  • Demonstrate how the incorporation of Risk Management principles better equips organizational leaders with the information they need to make higher quality decisions about how to manage continuity risk

The objectives of this session are to provide applied techniques outlining how practitioners can:

  • Deliver a stronger value proposition back to their organizations
  • Improve the perception of the work that continuity professionals deliver
  • Gain enhanced awareness, strategic priority, and funding
  • Achieve greater organizational resiliency / preparedness
