Innovation and the Art of the BIA
Jill Gibbs, Target Corporation
There is a long-standing question that philosophers ponder: How do you eat an elephant? Of course, the answer is “one bite at a time.” Conducting a large-scale business impact analysis (BIA) is not easy. When considering the need to establish a new enterprise-wide baseline at Target - a $70 billion, Fortune 50 company - the Global Continuity & Resiliency team faced the challenge of prioritizing a lot of work with tight resources. Participants will hear how an enterprise-level survey elicited objective and consistent feedback through a multi-stage approach.
Session Takeaways: Leverage an enterprise-level survey, identify planning gaps, fulfill new requirements, and set the stage for future enhancements.
