There are at least 5 approaches to the business Impact Analysis (BIA).


Let's discuss the following and more - 

  • Value - Is there value?  where and what is the greatest value of this practice?
  • Approach - which approach works for your situation?  Why?
  • Data - What data is collected?  Who uses the data beside the business continuity team?  What do you analyze?
  • Timing - How often?
  • Industry - does the companies' industry impact the usefulness or approach used?
